These synergetic dual wavelength ultra voilet tubes are the best tubes you can get for fly killing, using 2 wavelengths you attract more flies compared to a blue tube equivalent.
The reason for this is that the blue tubes use a wavelength which attracts house flies and selection of other flying insects but not every species is attracted to that one wavelength.
This green tube uses the same wavelength as the blue tubes plus an additional wavelength which the majority of other flying creatures are also attracted to giving you best of both worlds in 1 tube.
These tubes are manufactured to a high quality and have around 8000 effective life, but its worth noting that after 12 months you will need to replace the tube as after this period of time the internal coatings start to degrade which means they start losing their ability to attract the insects to your machine.
With that said the tubes will still look like they work meaning they will still glow but because the coatings are gone its just a lamp.
This tube is a 18 Watt 24 inch tube, we have shatter proof versions available (see options) which are designed for use where you have a "no glass" policy such as kitchen and food prep areas.
